Time and colour are strong features in Carmel Sayer’s work. A visual artist, Carmel deals primarily in portraiture and abstract painting. Predominantly experimental Sayer employs mixed media and sculpture to project concepts that relate to personal experience. The past five years have been dedicated to researching the institutionalizing of Spirituality and its affect on the individual and society. This has led to a ‘mapping of the soul’.
